Few are Guilty, But All are Responsible: The Obligations for
Community Professionals to Help Survivors of Domestic Abuse

This skill-building workshop is offered at two convenient times to bring clergy, mental health, teachers, and other Jewish communal workers together to address the systemic problems of Domestic Abuse in the Jewish community

Jewish Women International with funding from
The Wohlgemuth Herschede Foundation.

Rabbi Dratch is a respected leader in the Jewish Domestic Violence community and has a track record of successful achievement – counseling, advising, writing, lecturing, advocating and formulating policy. 

He was educated at Yeshiva University and served as a congregational rabbi for 22 years prior to founding JSAFE:
The Jewish Institute Supporting an Abuse Free Environment, an organization addressing issues of domestic violence, child abuse and institutional and professional improprieties in the Jewish community .


Rabbi Dratch
is an Instructor of Jewish Studies and Philosophy at Isaac Breuer College, Yeshiva University.  He is Chair of the Task Force on Rabbinic Improprieties of the Rabbinical Council of America (RCA), a group that establishes policies and guidelines for the RCA in dealing with allegations against one of its members, and has authored the Resolution on Rabbinic Improprieties.

He serves on the Leadership Council and the Jewish Advisory Committee of FaithTrust Institute in Seattle, WA and has been featured in their training videos on issues of abuse in religious communities.  He is a member of: the Clergy Task Force of Jewish Women International; the Board of the American Friends of Nishmat; and the Editorial Board of the Journal of Abuse and Religion.  He has authored many articles relating to issues of abuse in the Jewish community.
