"No one is free until we are all free"

Moving Toward Freedom:
A Women's Seder
to raise awareness of domestic violence
in the Jewish community

On Tu B’Shevat, the "New Year for Trees", we honor the beginning of spring in Israel by celebrating the cycle of life and nature.

This is a season for renewal and healing.

As Jewish women, we reach out to victims and survivors of domestic violence who, like the trees, have weathered the storms of winter and look with hope toward a brighter future.

We take responsibility for helping members of our community who are not yet free from the suffering of physical, sexual, emotional and economic abuse.

Together we can help eradicate domestic violence by bringing the issue out into the open, acknowledging its presence, and educating our leaders and ourselves.
