"Being able to celebrate freely now means a great deal to me." —Faina Golub (via translator, pictured above)
Faina is an immigrant to Cincinnati from the former Soviet Union, where she was unable to practice Jewish traditions openly. She will receive a Passover Delivery meal this year, and celebrate with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Passover Delivery Project is organized through the Heldman Family Food Pantry in the Barbash Family Vital Support Center, and with support from the Rockwern Charitable Foundation. Originally begun in 1998, a group of dedicated volunteers from Northern Hills Synagogue and Rockwern Academy (then Yavneh Day School) started what was then called the Cincinnati Pesach Delivery Project.
